À propos de Inclusion IrelandInclusion Ireland est une organisation bénévole nationale qui œuvre à la promotion des droits des individus souffrant de déficience intellectuelle en Irlande. Fondée en 1961, elle constitue désormais l'organisme cadre de plus de 160 organisations. Inclusion Ireland a pour objectif de veiller à ce que les individus souffrant de déficience intellectuelle puissent vivre et jouer leur rôle dans la communauté, et ce tout en jouissant des mêmes droits que les autres citoyens, afin de pouvoir mener l’existence qu'ils souhaitent et développer au maximum leur potentiel. Nos servicesInclusion Ireland lutte pour des changements au niveau des services existants et de la législation en cours afin d'améliorer la qualité de vie et la participation des personnes souffrant de déficience intellectuelle au sein de la société irlandaise. Elle travaille en collaboration avec ses membres à l'établissement de priorités et à la compilation de stratégies convenues au niveau national à soumettre ensuite au gouvernement, aux agences publiques, à d'autres groupes et au public en général. Inclusion Ireland compte parmi ses membres à la fois des sociétés et des individus. Autres activités d'Inclusion Ireland : - promotion de l'autonomie, et plus particulièrement de l'autonomie sociale, des individus souffrant de déficience intellectuelle ;
- mise à disposition d'informations et de conseils par téléphone, par courrier postal et via le site web ;
- publication de brochures informatives et d'un bulletin d'information trimestriel ;
- organisation de séminaires et de conférences ;
- organisation d'interventions informatives et éducatives auprès de nombreux groupes ; et
- représentation du secteur de la déficience intellectuelle en Irlande à un niveau international grâce à son appartenance à Inclusion International et à Inclusion Europe.

Inclusion Ireland aims to make sure that people with an intellectual disability can live and take part in the community with the same rights as other citizens, so they can live the life of their choice and to their fullest potention. Our ServicesInclusion Ireland campaigns for changes in services and legislation that will improve the quality of life and participation of people with an intellectual disability in Irish society. It works with its members to look for priorities and put together nationally agreed policies to present to the government, statutory bodies, other groups and the general public. Some members of Inclusion Ireland are companies and some are individuals. Inclusion Ireland also: - promotes advocacy for people with an intellectual disability, particularly self-advocacy;
- gives information and advice by phone, post and through its website;
- publishes information leaflets and a quarterly newsletter;
- organises seminars and conferences;
- gives information and training talks to a range of groups; and
- represents the intellectual disability sector in Ireland at international level by its membership of Inclusion International and Inclusion Europe.
