Quem somos
A Inclusion Ireland é uma organização voluntária nacional que trabalha para promover os direitos das pessoas portadoras de deficiência intelectual na Irlanda. Fundada em 1961, ela é hoje o órgão patrocinador de mais de 160 organizações. A Inclusion Ireland tem como objetivo garantir que as pessoas portadoras de deficiência intelectual possam viver e participar na comunidade com os mesmos direitos de outros cidadãos, a fim de que possam viver a vida que escolherem e atingir seu potencial máximo.
Nossos serviços
A Inclusion Ireland luta por mudanças nos serviços e na legislação que melhorarão a qualidade de vida e a participação das pessoas portadoras de deficiência intelectual na sociedade irlandesa. Ela trabalha com seus membros para estabelecerem as prioridades e elaborarem diretrizes de aprovação nacional, que são apresentadas ao governo, a órgãos legais, a outros grupos e ao público em geral. Alguns membros da Inclusion Ireland são pessoas jurídicas e alguns são pessoas físicas.
A Inclusion Ireland também:
- promove o assessoramento das pessoas portadoras de deficiência intelectual, especialmente autorrepresentação;
- dá informações e orientações por telefone, carta e pelo seu site;
- publica folhetos informativos e um boletim trimestral;
- organiza seminários e conferências;
- dá informações e treinamentos a uma variedade de grupos; e
- representa o setor de deficiência intelectual na Irlanda em nível internacional através de sua associação à Inclusion International e à Inclusion Europe.

About us
Inclusion Ireland is a national voluntary organisation working to promote the rights of people with an intellectual disability in Ireland. Set up in 1961, it is now the umbrella body for over 160 organisations. Inclusion Ireland aims to make sure that people with an intellectual disability can live and take part in the community with the same rights as other citizens, so they can live the life of their choice and to their fullest potention.
Our Services
Inclusion Ireland campaigns for changes in services and legislation that will improve the quality of life and participation of people with an intellectual disability in Irish society. It works with its members to look for priorities and put together nationally agreed policies to present to the government, statutory bodies, other groups and the general public. Some members of Inclusion Ireland are companies and some are individuals.
Inclusion Ireland also:
- promotes advocacy for people with an intellectual disability, particularly self-advocacy;
- gives information and advice by phone, post and through its website;
- publishes information leaflets and a quarterly newsletter;
- organises seminars and conferences;
- gives information and training talks to a range of groups; and
- represents the intellectual disability sector in Ireland at international level by its membership of Inclusion International and Inclusion Europe.
